This is so silly - I never log-off - I restart or turn off the computer
maybe I have to log-off and on again.

I think I had to do this when I got the machine but forgot what to do.

when I rebooted just now I did not log-off

sigh
I did find a way to locate the file I wanted to but not using the "open
file" and find option
in MS word.

I'm annoyed hat it won't look for a file no matter what directory it is in -

also I want to can all the folders that have to do with things I don't use
like "MY PICTURES"  "MY MUSIC" etc but it doesn't look like i can.

"shared files" are irrelevant - I'm not on a network.
