The key difference is that Canon dropped all support for lenses that 
were just a few years old, Pentax has limited support for lenses that 
have passed the 25 year old mark.
I've mentioned this on a number of occassions.
Do you not understand that long term support of lenses is of the utmost 
importance?

Why not? Pentax is making DSLRs that offer support for lenses that are a 
hell of a lot older, and they are a much smaller company.
Those FD lenses are still capable of producing pictures every bit as 
good as KM lenses, and there are people with significant investments in 
old Canon glass.

If you don't believe that long term support of lenses is important, then 
why are you kicking up such a fuss?
