Over the years I've had some ideas for photos that, until just now, I've
not been ready to implement.  I can visualize the photos, but finding such
scenes out serendipitously just won't work - they need some set up, and
that means I'll sometimes need people - models - and to find appropriate
locations, some of which may be indoors.  I'm not looking for glamour
models, BTW, just regular, average people, young, old, handsome or not.

I thought about approaching people on the street that look appropriate, and
have actually done that for a couple of shots, but that's rather hit or
miss.

So, any suggestions for finding people that "look the part" and finding
interesting indoor locations for a variety of settings, like motel rooms,
stairways, basements, etc.  Of course, outdoor locations would be
appropriate at times as well, but it seems that they are easier to find. 
Has anyone here done this sort of thing before?
