It seems to me that if you use a zoom the way to maximize The shake reduction function would be to input the nominal focal Length (about 120mm on a 70-210mm zoom) not the longest Focal length because it would minimize the focal length error. jco

I wasn't sure, so I looked it up. Makes sense to me.
