John, Very sorry to hear about that. It is always such a shock and bad feeling when that happens. I hope you land on your feet and end up in a better place in the end. Always best to take this as an opportunity.
One angle to consider is that perhaps the company was looking at your drumming up business for Pentax as a way to keep you on - if the response was good enough, then there might be a place for you. As it stands, that did not seem to happen. Please keep us posted and know that our thoughts are with you.
