I wouldn't be suprised if noise at 1600 is at least as minimal as the current 
cameras, perhaps better. And with SR, an extra stop or more of low-light 
performance will be possible. I've never used 3200 on my D. I've always been 
able to get what I need at 1600 with a fast lens. I'm sure the 10D will meet 
all my needs.
