For the type of work I do, I'm not sure I'd pay a lot more for a full frame body. The 6mp istD has been more than satisfactory so far. The 10mp successor should be better.
Thinking down the line, a multi-megapixel FF upgrade will require more memory, more disk space, and everything to support it. Bigger files need faster processors and memory to maintain the same multi-shot speed. It just cascades. Given that I'm regularly making great 13x19 enlargements and have made a few excellent 24x36 enlargements with 6mp, the only thing I see the upgrade to 10mp giving me is a bit more cropping flexibility. I'll be upgrading more for the antishake and other "secret" features than for additional pixels.
