The Panasonic is a keeper. It can do continuous focus. It has five flash modes, including a slow shutter mode. The autofocus is quite fast. It has multi segment, center weighted and spot metering. At full telephoto, the lens appears to be equivalent to about a 200, and at full wide it's about a 20. Wide open at full wide, you can get a 2.8 ap. It gives you a choice of three slow shutter speeds for flash. It won't do full manual, but it has many picture modes that will tilt the balance one way or the other.
