While it's a full-frame lens, it's fairly obviously intended for DA/DX 
format bodies (Where it's a 105mm equivalent). There's just no real 
point in making a subframe telephoto prime when it's easy enough to get 
full frame coverage (Why Canon did that for the 60mm EF-S I can't 
understand, especially since replacing the 50mm EF Macro should be a 
high priority for them).
