I've taught myself most of what little I (think I) know about macro work, so I may be doing it all wrong, but I often use Tv mode for such shots on my MZ-5n. I reckon I need all the DOF I can get, and there is never so much light that the minimum aperture is reached (I'm not using a flash), so I just set the time dial at the slowest speed I think I can handle and leave the lens in auto, which in practice means the camera will stop down as much as possible for the available light. So for a macro lens, loosing the aperture ring may not be that bad. - T -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
