Overall the site design is ok. It works fine on my system (Mac OS X
v10.4.7 running Safari).

I'm not a fan of the "vertical or horizontal scrolling thumbnail list
next to individual image display" concept, however. It always feels
crowded to me. I'd rather see a page of thumbnails and be able to
click on one or another individually to appreciate them with minimal
distraction. While there, I should have back and forth, and "return
to thumbnails" display navigation. So I'd eliminate the "Album" view
and stick with the Lightbox.

In the thumbnail (Lightbox) view, I'd prefer to see larger thumbnails
(approximately four - five across a page that's around 1024 pixels
wide). The current design makes very small thumbnails which aren't
enough so I have to open all of them anyway.

I also prefer photos matted against white or neutral gray surrounds.
Black surrounds make a photograph look more contrasty and saturated,
which I find some what unnatural. Bill's mitigated this with a dark
gray surround, but the overall effect is still 'heavier' than I
prefer, in general.

Jumping from Lightbox view to Album view doesn't refresh the detail
panel properly. It's just a big white space until you click on an
image or "Home" link.
