Hi Bruce,

I've been playing with the crop quite a bit. The pic has already been
cropped to a 5:7 format. I wanted to keep the roses on the LH side in the
pic as I think their a nice (and maybe even symbolic) counterpoint to the
kids, and the pole on the right seems to make a good framing element and
anchor point. Cutting off from the top and leaving the pole and the roses
didn't work for me. I'll keep playing with it - perhaps there's a better
crop in there somewhere ;-)) Maybe the pic just needs to be seen larger?

Actually, I did go out with the 24 with you in mind, as well as to
refamiliarize myself with it. I've rarely used it on the istDS, and I'm
starting to like it more with every shot. Whatever sharpness and focusing
problems I had with it at first, a couple of months ago, are gone. Might
have just been me getting used to the camera/lens combination.

Did you get my off-list message with the bokeh test and my offer?

Shel
