By mentioning Flickr, I certainly didn't want anyone to consider that I was
advocating strict competition for PUG. It's just a tool that I use and that
I think could be helpful for Adelheid, if she so chooses. I mean, Flickr is
pretty fun the way everyone can link to one another everywhere.

As for logging into Flickr to see photos, I've never had that issue with
seeing public photos. It's only for users that mark their pictures private,
particularly password protected for friends and family. It now requires a
Yahoo! account (again, free) to join and place your own pictures, but that's
it. Honestly, I haven't found Flickr to bite any one. And you can put what
ever picture you want on your profile page or as your avatar.

That's the last I'll say about Flickr for now.

As an aside, I saw someone using a Sony Alpha today. Heard the mirror slap
yards away in a crowded park... Makes my DS sound like a church mouse!
