The reason I don't bother with PUG any more is a simple one. I'm too lazy. I always forget the file size limit, how to upload it and where. If I have a picture or a few (or even a gallery)* I think the group might like to see, I simply post a link and sometimes get comments in return. The image can be a decent size because I have enough space on the two servers I use. I also have an almost unlimited amount of space on a server (down for upgrading now) in the US where I post photomicrographs and micro videos -- no ordinary stuff. I don't think this group would be particularly interested.
At this time I'm busy as a bee in the garden and forest taking pictures of flowers and plants as they appear. So for the now the microscopes are under their covers and dormant. Next will be fungi and then the snow will fall and I'll be back in here with the small stuff. I dredge the ponds and swamps and keep all the protists alive in culture over the winter. * Are galleries really frowned upon? I never knew that. But them I don't read FAQs either.
