I framed the shot very precisely - what you see is exactly what I wanted,
and where I wanted it. However, it's not the only shot I have of this
scene. There are numerous, all with slightly different framing. I showed
this one because I happened to like it - I like the way the tree in the
foreground compliments the tree further away. I like the verticals, I like
the light ... you can rest assured that there is nothing in the frame of
which I was unaware. I posted it because it was shot at 1600 ISO and
looked pretty good for such a high speed, and, more so, because I thought
that someone else might like it, and, to a lesser degree, to elicit
comments.
For an ISO 1600 image, it seems to me it turned out very well!
I'd have expected a poorer quality than what you got!
I posted it because I enjoy making pics and sharing them,
regardless of whether you or other like them. I posted it because I'm
having fun with my DSLR, and because not every shot has to be serious,
meaningful, and a great photo.

I agree.
That concept seems to have been lost on many who comment on others images.
