> you professionally > photograph weddings using entry level DSLRs? ... and K1000s (2), ZX-M (1), Minolta 600si (2). We're hoping to move to several DSLRs.
The whole idea is that you must deliver to the customer, which means backup for two photographers, on hand at all times, which means at least four cameras for the two of us just to get moving. My wife uses two in the church balcony, one wide and one telephoto, which means she can grab anything that moves without changing lenses. I have two on hand for the processional, one with double lighting, and a third at the back on a tripod so I don't have to tear down the flash brackets to start ambient light coverage ( the flash and bracket is just extra weight pulling on the tripod head unless you take it apart or use another camera. ) Imagine how much four or five of today's top of the line DSLRs would cost. I'm simply using yesterday's instead. Many great weddings have been covered with the same stuff. I could cover the entire thing with a single K1000 and one lens, and do a nice job, too. Plenty of people have done so for many decades. --- Thanks to all for the ideas of trying continuous focus, or using the OK button to activate auto focus.
