Absolutely. The guys running the companies that distribute photographic equipment would be just as happy if they were distributing household appliances, auto parts, hardware, whatever. One of the things that really struck me when I began getting to know these people was how few of them had any interest in photography at all. Their interest was in selling goods and making a profit. The nature of the goods was irrelevant. So the goods move through electronics stores rather than camera shops. So long as the goods move, the reaction from these guys is a big shrug of the shoulders.
