The depth of the preparation (from the slide to the cover slip) might be about 200 micrometres. Some things you see will not be sharp. The round white objects are amoeba spores. The small black sausage shaped and blobby ones are bacterial cells. There is one very small amoeboid organism in the picture as well.

This is really impressive. The skeleton really has volume. I notice two things: the bigger, white, round objects appear blurred; and the small, black spots appear like they are splashing towards the edges. Artifacts or reality depicted?
