Get a diopter correction for your viewfinder.

*istD has sufficient diopter correction.

BTW, I have poor eyesight as well, and cannot use the finder in the istDS
and some other cameras while wearing my glasses.  But by adjusting the
built-in diopter correction, I can use the camera very well without my
glasses.  Go figure ...

That I cannot do. The diopter correction in *istD is not sufficient. But with glasses I use it reasonably fine.

The problem is not about being able to bring it to focus once... After *few times* my eyes get tired and then it all falls apart.

What's the big deal about a lens previously owned by Mark Cassino?  I've
got on that was owned by William Robb.  Is that comparable?

No, I was making a *chuckle* statement... Sorry, if it did not come across that way.

So, Shel, I have to have AF lens, unfortunately.
