Hi!

I've been using Pioneer for years at home and at work and never had a 
problem. They're also reasonably priced over here in the UK, a lot less 
expensive than Plextor for example. Current drive at home Pioneer DV-R 110 
16x excellent price/performance.

I've been using Plextor... My first and only internal CD-RW drive worked 
for 4+ years and just recently expired. Now, thanks to my brother, I 
have external DVD-writer that seems to work fine.

Plextor is expensive indeed but is mighty reliable. However, with modern 
prices one may want to settle for something simpler because replacement 
will always be better.
