I got up early and waited for sunrise. An 30 to 45 minutes later and this isn't a photograph!

Very minor alterations in PS - white point/dark point.

I think its a nice piece of artistic graphics (photos can be that way
sometimes) but as a desert picture?

Great Sand Dunes NP is a park with the major feature being this 15 or so mile long pile of sand, mostly in the middle of some mountains. What's posted here is a very small part of the south side of the hill.

I like to think of images like this as abstracts.
