I haven't tried the Jupiter-9 but won't knock the Russian lenses
again after trying a Helios 135/3.5 that I eekBayed for $15.00.
Wide open it's way sharper than the M135/3.5, and that's saying
a lot!
I'm also trying the different Helios 58/2s as portrait lenses.
The 44-2, 44M-4 and 44M-6 are all very nice for that purpose.
They don't like the sun in their eyes but in subdued lighting
they're very 'smooth'. Quite flattering to the subject.
