I'm not saying it won't be K-mount, or that it didn't already occur to me. But is that the *main* reason they would partner with Pentax? I don't know.

I'm just trying to rain on everyone's parade, that's all.

Who knows, maybe Samsung uses Pentax's camera and lens making skills, and develops a Samsung DSLR with an entirely new mount? Or maybe they use a Nikon mount like Fuji and Kodak. Samsung may have no inherent interest in actually continuing Pentax's legacy.

What I'm saying is "I don't know and neither do the rest of us".

I fully expect Samsung to be providing semiconductor expertise and
manufacturing/marketing capacity. The main reason they would have for
partnering with Pentax would *be* K-mount system.
