Hi!

I'm interested in getting computer/monitor recommendations that are 
aimed at photo editing functions (e.g., "which flat-panel monitor is 
best for photoshop?") rather than high-end game play (e.g., "which 
system gives higher frame rates in Far Cry?").
Suggestions?

Computer - it is rather simple - as fast as your money can get you with 
as much memory as you can afford.

As for monitor - I recently had to do a bit of research because I wanted 
to update my monitor. I did not do that at the end, but my research 
ended up with this - you can buy fairly cheap a Professional series LG 
Flatron CRT monitor (in Israel F900P goes for about $400) and it will 
probably suit you. Well, it will suit me anyway ;-).

I still think that CRTs are better solution that flat panels... But 
that's mere MHO.
