More memory than a current version of Windows can use most of us can not
afford. Photoshop however, in the Windows version, can only use 2 gb
max. So if you only run Photoshop 2 gb is the limit. However if you run
Photoshop and something else at the same time maybe you could use more
memory than that.
However, I find that CS2 runs fine on my 900mz/512mb/2-40gb/16mb
video/19in CRT system. More would be nice, but what I have is doable.

I'm interested in getting computer/monitor recommendations that are
aimed at photo editing functions (e.g., "which flat-panel monitor is
best for photoshop?") rather than high-end game play (e.g., "which
system gives higher frame rates in Far Cry?").
Suggestions?
Computer - it is rather simple - as fast as your money can get you with
as much memory as you can afford.
