If UK prices run true to form then the Price in $ will be the same as
the price in £, without taking differences into exchange rate into account.

The 5D is on sale in the UK for between 2200 and 2500 GBP today. In
three
years you can knock a grand off, and Nikon and (hopefully) Pentax
will be
selling too. I think it's inevitable. The technology is advancing at an
ever-increasing rate, it would seem. Certainly with electronics....
