The Hassy experience is pretty similar to a TLR, as long as you're using the waist-level finder. Shorter and a little heavier though.



TLRs are fun. If you are shooting portraits, it's a good idea to tell the subject which lens to look at though.

Which lens to look at?
Were you using a Gowlandflex, or what?
Seems to me, at normal portrait distance, you shouldn't be able to tell which lens the sitter was looking at!

I usually don't want them looking at the lens anyways. But my work tends to candid profiles.
