John, Thanks, but I need (well, want) the AF, and f/2.8 aperture. As for A 100/2.8, from what people wrote earlier, e.g. in the thread "question about primes: 100/2.8 and 135/2.8 FA (D)), I see that this lens is not as good as F or FA by far. So, at this point I am really choosing between the F/FA (which could be found used) and D-FA (which is unlikely to be found used at a price suffiently lower than a new one, if at all): price vs. weight.
