That you're in the USA is a pity, because I could give you some nasty
comments from recent experience with European services... I'd suggest that
you make software quality also a factor in the comparison, as that was the
major problem I bumped into when trying to find a decent online printing
service: half of the upload software that I tried, just crashed on first
use, typically right after I finished specifying all the details for
printing. For me that's a no-more! And even if they manage not to make
their applications crash, a user friendly user interface that's fit for the
workflow of creating online print orders, is something still to be invented.

I hope the USA companies are doing better...

Groeten,

Vic

Subject: On-line printing services

The magazine I work for these days, Digital Camera Magazine, wants to
do a roundup and comparison article on the on-line printing services.
I'm not writing it, but I offered to help the writer by getting some
opinions.

I'd appreciate feedback from people who have used such services for
ordinary printing jobs, which I'll define as 4 X 6 up to, say, 8 1/2 X
11 prints. I'm primarily interested in print quality, but speed of
service is also an issue. Since we're a USA publication, we're
interested in services in the USA.

Thanks in advance for your feedback on this.

Bob
