This was my first attendance @ GFM... it won't be my last.
This won't be as eloquent as the other GFM reports, the other attendees have
taken care of that.

First the park itself has to be seen to be believed. I can't think of a
similar site that I've ever heard of. 6500 acres in the same family since
the mid 1800's. And the owner was very visible all weekend. I wouldn't
change a thing.

A great place for a quick couple of days of nature photography. You just
have to pray for good weather. We arrived Friday morning in a rain storm and
were pretty much skunked the rest of
Friday by the weather.

The presenters were very good. Some better than others.

I'll continue to remember that "Photoshop is not a verb" - thanks Tony.

The company was ... well it was some of the more vocal & funny PDML'ers. It
was good to be able to put faces along side the names. I wished I had more
time to spend @ PDML central - thank you Bill Owens & wife Phyllis.

I'm glad I was talked into bringing my 600mm. Frank, you never got to fondle
it!
I entered three images (like everyone else) two of which were taken with the
600mm.
I got one "Dis honorable mention" and one honorable mention with those two.
I'll post those in a few days.

For those that haven't been to GFM it should be on your to do list.

Oh yeah it was 630 miles from Michigan to Linville.

More as I get around to it.
