I'm looking for a 1.4x teleconverter to use with my FA50/1.4 and
FA135/2.8. I use those lenses on both my *ist-DS and (occasionally) my
ZX-5n.
Being that they're autofocus lenses, I'd kind of like to maintain that
capability. And compatibility with the *ist-DS's metering is also
desirable.
There seem to be a few TC's on the market, and I'm not really sure of
their reputations, and I'm unsure as to which would be the best mates
for the two lenses I've mentioned above. I posted a similar question to
dpreview.com awhile ago and received a recommendation for the Sigma EX
APO 1.4x. But a few hours later someone else posted that this
particular TC isn't compatible with many lenses, and of the ones with
which it is compatible, my FA50 and FA135 aren't on the list. So far
that's been the only recommendation, so I'm back to square one.
