The cel phone business is different. Two product lines would be redundant, and backward compatibility isn't an issue. Again, I don't see that it would make any sense to acquire Pentax and then abandon the product line. But conjecture is pointless, and so far the takeover rumors are only internet hearsay. Only time will tell.
