Well, being a man of fairly limited means, if the fix were simple
enought that I stood a chance of being able to effect it myself I would
do it, simply to avoid paying shipping back to KEH. Do you know how
difficult a job this actually is to perform?
You're right about the lens working fine in spite of the problem,
except that the current minimum focusing distance at 17mm is quite a
bit farther out from the front of the lens than it should be, which
limits it's usefulness, especially as a fisheye.
I don't suppose KEH will take my word for it that it's partially broken
and return $100 or so. I'll just have to write them and see what
they're willing to do for me.
