Do you mean simplifying the background to leave just the branch and the bird? I've contemplated doing just that, and I see what you mean about Japanese art. Or are you thinking of something else? Thanks for the comment.

I am thinking of Japanese traditional art here... I think with proper amount of editing it can be achieved...
