The "not invented here" syndrome won't work with a new DSLR lens mount. Look at the problems Olympus has had getting the 4/3 system established. I think it's possible even Sony recognizes the problems here. What *is* important (to Sony) is something that isn't an open system like 4/3. Look at lenses are available in 4/3 mount. As Jostein said, legacy lenses aren't that important to a manufacturer, but look at what's *currently* available in K mount between Pentax, Sigma, Tokina and Tamron.
