Feroze,
I have an L-358 that I purchased new. I did not have anything fall off during the first couple of uses. I have lost the cover on the flash cord socket - at least I think there was one there.
That is the only thing that may have gotten lost in my using it. Just to let you know, I do not 'baby' my equipment - they are tools, not jewels.
I have nothing bad at all to say about my L-358.
Now that I think of it, I use an external meter quite often,

Hi All,
I'm looking at 2 light meters at the moment. Both made by sekonic, and reasonable priced by my standards. One is 308B II, great price, has everything I need. The other is the L-358, decent price has more than enough features, but I've read at least one review that stated that a few parts fell off during the first couple of uses. If there are other brands I should consider in the same price bracket (about U$D250) please let me know.
About 60% of my work is pack shots, 30% weddings, 10% a odd mixture of fun shots. I need decent build quality as well something more accurate than my MZS's meter.
TIA
Feroze
