in Photoshop 7, once the highlight is gone, it's gone. same with shooting 
JPEG. the Pentax PhotoLaboratory software may have a small amount it can get 
back by reducing the exposure compensation, but it has little ability. in 
Photoshop CS Camera RAW, you can generally count on between 1/2 and 3/4 stop 
of headroom to recover highlight detail. eyeballing it though, i think there 
isn't any much detail to recover.

Actually I'd like to solicit everyone's advise on
using PS7 to burn in the blown out highlights like the
gloves and the left portion of the face.  Being a PS7
newbie I don't exactly know the steps to take.  Also
can you guys suggest a good book on PS7.  Thank you.
