Hi Tom, No it's me alright, no one really tests the things that interest me. Most published lens test are simple monochrome sharpness/distortion tests. These and MTF graphs only provide a rudimentary indication of how a lens will perform. For DSLR intents (I rarely shoot film now) nearly any decent lens will out- perform the current Sony sensor sharpness wise (I didn't even have to work at JPL to work that out). However a lenses prevalence to exhibit CA or flare can really only be gained by looking at test shots as can bokeh etc. Cheers, Rob Studdert HURSTVILLE AUSTRALIA Tel +61-2-9554-4110 UTC(GMT) +10 Hours [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://members.ozemail.com.au/~distudio/publications/ Pentax user since 1986, PDMLer since 1998
