Phase One LE. Cheap ( less than 100 USD) and very effecient.
And Don, digital photography IS very time consuming - at least compared to
bringing in a film and fetching beautiful prints the next day. End of
story - brilliant concept. But expensive over time.

Emne: Best all around RAW converter/manager(s)??

Here's what I'm after:
I want to take a folder full of RAW files, preview them,
select the ones I want, convert them to TIF as a batch
and save them to another folder.
What 1 or 2 programs will allow this workflow at an
affordable price, with good quality results?
As most of you know digital processing and RAW
files are new to me, I met my first RAW file when I got
the D.
I have PhotoShop CS and have tried several other
programs.
Right now I tend to shoot TIF and JPEG a lot just
because conversion is such a time consuming
thing.

What do I need????

TIA
Don
