If you are using PS CS RAW the cameras daylight white balance (which is quite 
accurate BTW) is interpreted as; Temp 4600, Tint -20. So if you want to reset 
the WB using the PC CS RAW you can set the values as above in the current RAW 
image and then save these factors using "Save Settings Subset > Only WB" then 
apply this saved setting to all subsequent images which were shot in daylight. 

The daylight images won't be degraded in the conversion as the RAW file 
contains no colour balance, the colour temp and tint factors are simply used in 
the conversion process as the colour processing reference.

I usually estimate WB and stick with the pre-sets on the *ist D when shooting 
out doors and only generally resort to manual WB off reference cards when I 
need the best possible colour accuracy in any particular lighting conditions.
