I am wrong and I apologise. Godfrey DiGiorgi set the record straight (the RTF only does P-TTL and reverts to full-manual if the lens is not in the A pos). As I don't know if P-TTL really must have the aperture data, I can only retract my statement about extortion. I can understand reducing the feature-set of the -Ds compared to the -D in this instance. In my case it would mean that I would not be able to do contrast-control flash with pre-A lenses; not without taking the risk (and weight) of mounting the -330 on top of the adapter F. Kostas
