Yes, but the matrix metering will only affect the aperture/shutter speed
part of the exposure. The flash will be metered by plain center-weighted
metering in TTL because there is only one single TTL sensor looking at
the film plane.
With P-TTL even the flash portion of the exposure is matrix metered,
because it takes place off the focusing screen while the mirror is still
down.
