I pay $25 a year, that's fifty cents a week, for PhotoNet. I don't know exactly how much space that buys me, but I have over 200 photos posted there now with plenty of room to spare, so it's all I need. It's fast, easy to work with, and the pages like good. I consider that a bargain. Plus, I don't mind supporting PhotoNet. They provide a lot of interesting material, and I frequent several of their forums.

Hey, Frank ....

I've got a new, Captain Marvel Whiz Bang machine, and Flickr is a PITA for
me as well. I'll only put up with it for Juan's photos and yours because I
know the results will interest me, but I won't put up with the site in most
instances.

The problem I'm having with Flickr is that it takes a long time to
upload photos, and when I go there to view, it takes a long time to
load other folk's photos. I assume that's in some part due to the
fact that I'm using somewhat older computer (like maybe 3 or 4 years
old?).
