I prefer dust personally, I can get rid of it easily, not so hot pixels. The 
degree of the problem to the individual depends upon the type of shots that are 
being made. Hot pixels are often a problem for me when making product shots 
under hot lights as I'm often shooting at around 1/6th to 1/10 of a second. 
Removing the hot pixels adds a processing step that can take significant time 
if you have many images to manage.
