Hi Josh, You have presented too many questions that no one can seriously answer. Practically if you buy a *ist D now you'll be able to shoot digital using your existing lenses, what is this worth to you? When it becomes superseded then keep it for a back-up body or flog it here. And don't expect that your current complement of glass will suite your current shooting style when moving to a cropped sensor. Budget to spend more money on glass also.
