As with others, I was a long-time Pentax user. When the digital bug
bit, I had used a Canon D30 and D60 through work, but kept waiting for
Pentax to come out with one to buy for personal use. When I grew tired
of waiting, I sold most of my Pentax 'collection' and bought a 10D and
70-200/2.8, and liked what I was getting. I bought in May, and soon
after the istD became available, my 10D body suddenly wouldn't start
up....nothing. It has been at Canon Repair since, get this, Oct. 8
2003, and no word of when I'll get it back.
Not that I want to debate 10D vs. istD here, but needless to say I
would gladly give up the 100-3200ASA, Litho battery, etc. for a camera
that may be prone to a bad pixel here or there.
