i bought a Fujitsu Lifebook P2120 partly for photographic travel purposes.
with the extended capacity battery and the optional drive bay battery, the
manufacturer rates it at 14 hours battery life and i have used it 7-8 hours
between charges without running so low as to require shutting down. it's a
900MHz processor, but runs a bit slower than that. it came with a 30G hard
drive and i immediately replaced it with a 60G one. it comes standard with a
CD-R/RW DVD drive. i have the 30G drive as a backup. it has Firewire and USB
2 connectors.
