Glad to hear that the damage to your gear is only superficial. Who cares about your knees? That's what they make walkers and canes for... <vbg>
Other than the slip in the stream, how was the trip?
cheers, frank

Hi Team,
I was going to ask if you enjoyed the peace and quiet however I've just culled
1500 messages<LOL>
I've been away for just under two weeks on a 4500km(2800mile) road(ferry) trip
to Tasmania. Since Pentax don't make a decent digital camera yet <snigger> I
lugged my LX and some medium format kit over the state.
Weather was quite good for making pics so I came back with 16 rolls of 136/36
(Portra 160/400 VC), 18 rolls of 120 (Provia 100F and Portra 400 VC), now to
face the processing cost :-(
However I didn't come back with my LX and lovely Black 31 LTD, they are now
awaiting parts in the Melbourne Pentax repair service centre. Who ever
commented once on how pristine my gear looks would have got a good laugh if
they saw the pair after I smashed them (and my knees etc) on a huge rock in the
middle of a stream just three days into the trip.
Fortunately and to my surprise only the base plate of the LX and the integrated
hood on the LTD were superficially damaged, they still worked fine (unlike one
of my knees), tough cookies.
More later.
Cheers,
