Would that be the Shawangunks? No, I guess the Gunks are further North? I know the Gunks because they are one of the best rock climbing areas in the world, I spent a lot of time and left a lot of skin there... saw porcupine, weasels, deer, fox, owls, etc but never any bears. Stan
