Nah, Cotty, I think you should compare a 8x10 inkjet from your digital to an 8x10 ilfochrome from an 4x5 tranny. <GRIN>
Interestingly enough I have seen large inkjets (Epson 10000) from scanned 8x10 transparencies, and the same size ilfochrome printed directly from the same transparency. The photographer had to point it out to me, but the ilfochromes held much more detail in the highlights. That fine art photographer also said his customers still preferred ilfochromes, but that was 1.5 years back.
